Coach Gary Yacavino

 Coach Gary has 40+ years of playing and coaching experience. Including growing up playing travel hockey with the NJ Devils Youth AAA programs. After 4 years of high school and Junior college he went on to play at West Virginia University in the ACHA from 1999-2002. Coming out of college he earned professional tryouts with the Philadelphia Phantoms (AHL) and Trenton Titans (ECHL).

Past coaching experiences include working as a skills coach for Turcotte Stick Handling School (1997-2002). He worked as a Private Lessons Instructor, teaching skills at Twin Oaks Ice Rink from (2002-2004). Was assistant coach of the New Jersey Renegades Junior Hockey Club from 2018-2020 and also assisted with the Renegades Junior Development Program U16 team during that time as well.

Currently he has been the Head Coach of the Columbus Hockey Associations 8U TRAVEL team for the past 3 seasons as well as coaching the Little Dragons Learn to Play program.

Coach Gary currently holds a USA Hockey certified level 4 coaching certification. As well as a Level 2 Certified Power Edge Pro certification.
